Together in Twilight

The boy works the sun from dawn till dusk
Wrestling with rays of the piercing light
In a daily path across the land

Lunar gloom is the girl’s nightly toil
In deft hands she weaves the silver thread
Glowing loom she sets to wax and wane

Helpless the two when they’re forced apart
